Lots going on at the Imsbach New Year's reception

Between review & outlook: focus on 2025

A look ahead to the year 2025 dominated the speech given by local mayor Oliver Krupp at the Imsbach New Year's reception. More than one hundred citizens came to the community hall for the event. Musical accompaniment was provided by the Imsbach fanfare band and the Imsbach male choir, which is celebrating its 170th anniversary this year, making it one of the oldest choral societies in the Palatinate. To mark the occasion, a project choir is to be formed, to which not only men, but also women and children are invited. The project choir will then perform at the anniversary concert on June 28.

The gymnastics women of SV Imsbach are also celebrating their anniversary: several events are planned throughout the year to mark the 50th anniversary. Other "events" include the citizens' café, which will take place a total of ten times in 2025. It starts on Friday, January 24, from 3 pm. The development association is also inviting people to a comedy evening with Sven Hieronymus in November. These and other dates can of course be found on the new website of the local community under "Calendar of events", but also in the analog club calendar, which is displayed on the information board of the local community at Bergmannsplatz and, according to Krupp, will be updated promptly. He thanked the many "energetic hands and the willingness of the helpers to sacrifice their free time for the village".

Some construction work is also on the agenda. There are plans to extend the main path of the cemetery in the second half of the year. The conversion of the former Catholic parish hall, which will serve as an interim home for the Sternenhimmel nursery for around 1.5 years while the nursery is being modernized, is also due to start then. A drinking water pipe with a connection to the new sanitary facilities in Langenthal will also be laid in the fall.
